2025 Jackson Holmes Salmon Run

'Give it a Tri' Duathlon

We are excited to bring you a new event to the 2025 Jackson Holmes Salmon Run line up... the 'Give it a Tri' Duathlon! We wanted to deliver an event that anyone  can participate in - whether you are starting out on your Triathlon or Multisport journey, or are just looking for a challenge to help get you motivated during winter then this one is for you! Challenge a friend to join you on the start line or buddy up to complete the event as a team! This one is going to be fun!

The event will start outside the Rakaia Domain on Rakaia Barrhill Methven Road and head up the road approximately 2.5km. Here competitors will make a U-turn around and zoom back down to the Rakaia Domain to mark the end of the 5km bike. Here you will dismount, head into the South end of the domain to transition from bike to the run - or tag your team mate to start their leg of the event!

The Run... or walk... or skip... will be a simple 2.5km running through the domain and heading up the River Trail before heading back to the Rakaia Domain. Once back at the Domain you will complete a lap of the Ruby Feild before heading up the Center Line, with all your friends and family right there for high 5s as you run to the Finish Line to complete your event!
